This festive mix of magic and music features eight original songs including the classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer plus PAUL and LINDA McCARTNEY'S A Wonderful Christmas Time. When his friend Zoey, a young doe, is captured by the evil Ice Queen Stormella ( WHOOPI GOLDBERG), Rudolph bravely sets out to rescue her and helps Santa ( JOHN GOODMAN) save Christmas. Ridiculed because of his nose, Rudolph runs away to the North Pole where he befriends Slyly the fox ( ERIC IDLE) and Leonard the polar bear ( BOB NEWHART).

On Platinum Series releases starting in 1993, a silver rectangle with the words " PLATINUM SERIES" appeared under the filmreel that read " HOME VIDEO" and shines.Then " GOODTIMES", colored raspberry pink, appears over the filmreel. It then zooms-out, and the film reads "H O M E V I D E O". Then it shifts to the pink film inside it, which becomes flat. A black & white version exists on B&W films.Ģnd logo (1989-2000): On a starry sky background, we see a filmreel, flying downward.The background was a gradient pink and the text was in 2-D. An earlier version had the parabolic rainbow wiping in to replace a circular blank outline.For the closing variant, " PRESENTS" is not shown. Under the rainbow are " HOME VIDEO" and under that in bronze " PRESENTS". As it finishes appearing, " GOODTIMES", colored amber, appear above the rainbow. 1st logo (1985-1990): On a shady light blue background, we see a rainbow, wiping in left-to-right.
